Zen and the Art of Shaolin Publication

For the month of July, 2008, during the build up to the Beijing Olympics, Made Visual Studio travelled around rural China with Shaolin disciple Shifu Yan Lei to create a book capturing his return to the Shaolin school and monastery where he learned his art, and documenting the grace of Qi Gong and power of Kung Fu.

The shoots were set in various locations across the Yellow Mountain and Bamboo Forrest of Huangshan, at the Shaolin monastery of Zhengzou and training school in Dengfeng city, Henan, capturing various styles of the Kung Fu art in both an artistic and instructional style.
